Full renovation of a Haussmann apartment in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon: an open kitchen with island, a master suite whose bathroom opens straight onto the bedroom, a complete lighting redesign, rebuilt ceilings, a chilled-water air-conditioning system and repainting throughout. Saturated with colours and mismatched fittings, the apartment had lost the clarity of its original volumes: the brief was to declutter it visually so the architecture — and the light running right through it — could take back its place.

A Haussmann apartment in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon
We worked on this Haussmann apartment as a whole: renovating the kitchen and the master bedroom, redesigning the lighting throughout, rebuilding the ceilings, integrating a chilled-water air-conditioning system and repainting every room. Saturated with colours and mismatched fittings, the apartment had lost the clarity of its original volumes. The project was about visually decluttering the space to reveal the beautiful light that runs right through it — and letting the architecture take back its place.
The kitchen — restraint and material
The client wanted to preserve the original architecture rather than dress it up. Chalk-toned fronts step back in favour of a ceramic worktop imitating Tundra marble, with pronounced veining and a warm tone. Grazing light brings out the stone and reveals its relief. The result is a bright, timeless living space where the contemporary serves the heritage instead of competing with it.
The master bathroom — a private spa
Fully open to the bedroom, the bathroom becomes its natural extension. On the left, a dressing room with mirrored fronts plays with reflections and stretches the perspective. Beige stone in large formats clads the space without a visual break. At the centre, a freestanding solid-surface bathtub with clean lines converses with the walk-in shower hidden behind a smoked-glass screen. Gunmetal PVD taps punctuate the composition with a discreet, tactile touch. A light strip underlines the storage niche and wraps the room in warm light, far from the usual frontal bathroom lighting. The result is the atmosphere of a private spa, where every detail — from the lit niche to the wall-mounted mixer — was designed to step back in favour of calm and a sense of space.
